The questions that actually arrive

Everything below is the truth as the site actually behaves — 18+ — for entertainment only. No real money play. No prizes of monetary value.

Money & chips

No. There is no shop, no card form and no purchase anywhere on Cedarvaux. Cedar Chips arrive free — from the welcome credit, the Common Room, the notice board, level-ups and invitations — and that is the only way they arrive.
Never. The chips are a score with no value outside the site. They cannot become cash, vouchers, goods or anything else, and they cannot move between players.
The Common Room restocks you for free: the morning stack, a Mill Wheel pull and wax seal cards. Levels and the notice board pay on top. An empty purse is a breather, never a bill.
Because the fun of these games is the shape of the risk, and the shape only works when the maths is real. We kept the maths and removed the money.

Playing

Yes — every game opens in demo mode with practice chips, no account needed. Demo progress is not saved and resets when you leave. The full version, with a kept balance and levels, is free after registration.
How lumpy the ride is. Low pays small and often; high goes quiet and then pays in lumps. The band is printed on every game and never changes silently.
On reel games, three scatters open a run of bonus spins with a multiplier that steps up as the run goes. The exact ladder is printed on each game's paytable page.
A shared meter laid by every win on the site. Each place setting it reaches releases a published list of awards to the people who helped lay it. The house rules are five minutes' reading.

Account

Nothing. Chips, levels, Resin and your ring stay exactly as they are. Nothing on Cedarvaux decays or expires.
Both live on your account page. The email address itself is fixed to the account; write to us if it genuinely has to change.
Account, then Close the account. It is immediate and permanent — the purse and all progress are deleted with it.
Your play data lives in your own browser storage, not on our servers. The privacy notice lists the little we do hold and why.

Fair play & safety

Every Workshop game draws rounds from a committed seed pair. Rotate the pair on your fair-play page and the old seed opens, so any round it produced can be rebuilt and compared to its hash.
Instantly. Pick a term on the pause page — a day to forever — type the phrase, and the lock is on. Nobody can lift it early, including us.
The National Gambling Helpline is free, confidential and always open on 0808 8020 133. Our playing-responsibly page links GamCare, BeGambleAware, GAMSTOP, Gordon Moody and Gambling Therapy.
